Day 1
You’ll depart from Melbourne and make your way along the Great Ocean Road to Cape Otway. You’ll pay a visit to the symbolic surf city of ‘Torquay’, where you can breathe in the surfy vibes. On the way to Australia’s oldest lighthouse on the southernmost point of Cape Otway, you will make a stop-over in the picturesque coastal towns of Lorne and Apollo Bay. Continue your journey to the Shipwreck Coast, where you’ll dive into history with stories about the 50 ships which met their maker at the massive cliffs over the 19th and 20th century.
Day 2
Today you’ll make your way to a part of Australian National Heritage: the Grampians National Park. Before arriving at the foothills of the park, you’ll marvel at the beauty of scenic ocean views, intriguing rock formations and majestic cliffs at the Bay of Martyrs and Bay of Islands. Culture buffs will be happy to learn about the indigenous people’s culture at the Brambuk Cultural Center too.
Day 3
Today there is plenty of time to submerge yourself in the vast beauty of the Grampians: you’ll go on a guided nature walk and pass along places like Wonderland and Venus Baths, you’ll get all personal with kangaroos and other wildlife and can cool down at the majestic MacKenzies Falls. Later you’ll get front row tickets to see birdlife and native animals roam freely from the Reeds Lookout. The day ends with a satisfying trip back to Melbourne.
